Tania Haigh I Founder/Co-Organizer/License Holder

A 17-year marketing industry veteran and is Founder & CEO of Chicago-based Magnolia Insights, a marketing services company that specializes in women and mom consumers. Tania was named a “Top 40 Under 40 Marketer” in the Midwest by Brand Innovators, and is a women’s empowerment leader as demonstrated by her involvement as a TEDxWomen organizer and curator. Tania is also active in the women space as a presenter and panelist at conferences that include: Event Marketer Summit, Marketing to Women, Marketing to Moms, Naperville Lean In Circle, Women in Wireless Chicago and Mujeres de Hace. She has been featured in Advertising Age, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Chief Marketer Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. She is also a contributor to Chicago Woman magazine and Franchising USA magazine. Tania has been an Oak Park resident for over ten years with her husband, David and daughter Vivian.

Janna Fiester, Co-Organizer/Creative Lead

Executive Creative Director at Sandstorm Design, is a design-thinker and user-advocate. Always striving to make client work better, she sees the possibility in everything and takes nuggets of good ideas and nurtures them into strategically driven and unique unexpected executions. Janna honed this skill while earning her MFA and teaching at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Throughout her almost 20 years of experience, Janna’s work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and showcased in several design publications as well as winning industry awards. If Janna, a long-time resident of Oak Park, has any free time after work and family (a hubby, two kids), you can find her listening to the latest TED talk or on the stage performing Flamenco.

 

 

Michelle Donat, Sponsorship Lead

Michelle is fascinated by the interconnection of Body, Mind and Spirit. She enjoys the wide range of topics available through TED talks, but was especially fascinated by Jill Bolte Taylor’s “Stroke of Insight.” The idea that Jill could observe herself having a stroke is amazing, but to recover enough to share her insights is truly incredible! Michelle is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Energy Worker who sees clients in her Oak Park office, Relaxation Plantation. She grew up in Ohio and is a graduate of The Ohio State University. She and her husband have resided in Oak Park for 30 years, raising two amazing young adult daughters who are both OPRFHS grads.

 

Silvia Brito-Todd, Finance Lead

Silvia empowers women to reach their desired potential. She is honored to support TEDxOakParkWomen and spreading ideas in her own community. As a Finance professional with Shire, Silvia is passionate to lead by example and she encourages her peers to reach out to the next level. Originally from Venezuela, she now lives in Oak Park with her husband and son and enjoys traveling.

 

 

 

Meridian Herman, Marketing/Venue/Partnerships

Meridian is thrilled to be a part of the dynamic TEDxOakParkWomen organizing committee for the third annual TEDxOPW event. Even as the youngest team member, she brings a wealth of marketing and event coordination experience to the TEDx table, including eleven years as an independent marketing consultant. A lifelong active Oak Parker, Meridian is proud to help share "ideas worth spreading" throughout Oak Park and our surrounding communities.

 

 

Leslie Truelove, Community Outreach

A veteran of brand marketing, Leslie is responsible for driving the strategic marketing and sales efforts for Cleveland Avenue (a food and beverage accelerator) and its ventures, including digital marketing and consumer-focused campaigns. In her various roles over her career, she has been responsible for managing multi-million-dollar food and beverage businesses, developing new food and beverage platforms,  national, ethnic and local market brand plans, as well as creating award winning brand content. Leslie is the mom of two active children, enjoys working out, catching a movie or play and an occasional bike ride. She has lived in Oak Park for the past 12 years and is involved with several community organizations.
